Kitesurf Wave & Yoga Retreat - Nov 13th-20th, 2011
Aimed at Kiters who want to tame the waves with their kite, have fun on a directional kite board and surf board whatever the conditions, while strengthening and purifying the mind and body with sport specific yoga!
5 days of kitesurf, surf and SUP coaching, with each day beginning and ending with sport specific yoga sessions. To complete the week 2 days will be for free riding, relaxation and exploration!
The kitesurf coaching will consist of technique talks and tips on kiting, copingand ripping in waves, how to ride a directional surfboard, with or without straps, understanding the waves both surfing and kiting, developing your own preferred style, carving, performing top turns, bottom turns, gybes, fun tricks for flatter days plus video feedback and analysis throughout the week.
Each day will be tailored around the wind and wave conditions and your personal goals giving you an experience, knowledge and ride that will take you to new realms! (No surfing or yoga experience necessary as everything will be tailored to the individual) (Max group size 6, or 8 with 2 coaches).
Pre - requirements - to be able to ride comfortably up wind and down wind, a love of nature and an open mind
The camp is open to both men and women. During the camp in March, we had a great mix of guys and girls from various different countries, who enjoyed a week of intensive yoga training, and kitesurfing progression.
The camp will include:
- 7 nights accommodation in Young Blood bungalows in OCEAN VAGABOND (based on two people sharing, single upgrades are also available)
- return transfers from Dakhla airport
- breakfast, lunch and dinner each day
- 2 yoga sessions per day, once in the morning and one in the evening 4 hours of kitesurf coaching with Kirsty Jones per day (5 days, and 2 days for free riding)
- transfers to and from the wave spot each day are also included.
